Silvia works as a project manager in the eBusiness team at the Marketing Media Digital division of Nestlé in Frankfurt, which produces and implements digital communication strategies. The eBusiness team supports Nestlé brands by providing digital asset solutions.
Before joining Nestlé, Silvia studied food chemistry, economics and law. After a research period in the pharmaceutics department of the University of Granada in Spain, she worked in a business consultancy for food hygiene. Silvia obtained her PhD in food chemistry at the University of Hannover. Her PhD thesis was on processing natural flavours via terpene-transforming fungi.
As a food chemist Silvia is dedicated to providing consumers with information about ingredients and ways of processing food. For nearly a decade she worked as a lecturer on consumer protection in the field of nutrition and food processing. She has also gained experience in online communication as a webmaster and at the European Leukemia Information Center, where she supported cancer researchers by communicating with patients and the public. Her strong commitment to consumer information as well as her academic background qualify Silvia to expand her content strategy practice in online and face-to-face communication.
