Programming the Transmedia Ecosystem: The Metamorphosis of Brands and Media
Over the last several decades psychology has revealed, how story affects the human mind. Our fears, hopes, and values are strongly influenced by story. In fact, fiction seems to be more effective at changing beliefs than argument and evidence. At the same time, we are shaping a future reality, that is dominated by technology, enhancing our lives with the borderless availability of information, communication and entertainment. Those evolutionary essentials will define, how brands and media succeed in times of increasing touch points and decreasing attention spans. I will take a look at how content specialists will be vital to branding success and at the same time how marketing driven thinking will affect the media landscape. Both, media and brands, are about to enter a metamorphosis that will create new roles, new disciplines, new departments to help creating the ultimate user experience.
